We’re excited to mark another year with you as we celebrate our birthday this month! On the 20th we, as a company, will be popping the cork, rolling out the cake, and celebrating five years of delivering the best in trust accounting and hospitality software to our clients in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. During this time we have grown, evolved, and empowered property managers to simplify their operations and take the stress out of their daily tasks. It’s been our privilege to partner in the success of those who live and breathe accommodation, and we want to take a moment to pause and reflect on all we’ve achieved.
What started as a desire to better equip those in the management rights industry with their trust accounting requirements has grown to be a powerful property management system that’s not only easy to access and use, but that meets all their hospitality software needs.
Our co-founders, Sam and Rico, had themselves experienced the headache of outdated, complicated software that made it difficult to run a trust account. They knew there had to be a better way, and with consultation from industry leaders, independent hoteliers, accountants, and auditors, they knew they could create it. And they did!
Our Vision at Resly is to be the benchmark in hospitality innovation, and we’ve started as we mean to continue by introducing features such as live bank feeds, automated payments, portal access, with free and localised customer service over the past five years.
“It was a hard industry to crack into,” says Sam. “We’re incredibly proud to have pushed the industry forward in such a positive way, from being 100% cloud-based to launching the first all-in-one system.”
Starting as a dynamic duo (or trio if you include Baelon, their toy Cavoodle and official Resly mascot!) we’ve grown into a diverse and talented team scattered across Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. Our team is as unique and passionate about property management as the industry we support!
With five distinct versions of Resly (in Australia - management rights resorts trusts, short-term rental (STR) trusts and non-trust accommodation; and in New Zealand - STR trusts and STR non-trusts for hotels and motels) we are experts in understanding the unique needs and nuances of each sector. We will continue creating innovative solutions to support every market we serve, with our 2025 focus on improving the mobile experience and expanding our AI capabilities.
Acknowledging the incredible support from the industry and the strong relationships built along the way, co-founder Sam shares his gratitude for those who have been instrumental in Resly’s journey. In particular, he has special thanks for his partner and co-founder, Rico.
