The Role
As a Product Manager – Payments at Resly, you’re not just managing a backlog — you’re owning a critical part of our business.
You’ll lead the strategy and execution of our payments ecosystem, ensuring transactions are seamless, reliable, and scalable. From billing and invoicing through to payment integrations and global expansion, you’ll work across teams to deliver a best-in-class payments experience.
This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and finance, and plays a key role in how we drive revenue and support our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute the payments product strategy aligned with company growth and revenue goals
- Own and prioritise the payments roadmap, balancing customer needs, business impact, and technical complexity
- Optimise end-to-end payment flows to improve conversion rates and reduce friction
- Monitor key metrics (e.g. payment success rates, failures, churn) and drive continuous improvement
- Manage and evolve integrations with payment providers (e.g. Stripe, Adyen) and financial systems (e.g. Xero)
- Ensure payment systems are scalable across multiple currencies, regions, and pricing models
- Partner closely with Engineering, Finance, Support, and external providers to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards (e.g. PCI, SCA)
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue performance (e.g. retries, dunning, payment methods)
What We’re Seeking
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally with exposure to payments, billing, or financial systems
- Strong understanding of payment flows, subscription models, and transaction lifecycles
- Data-driven mindset, with experience using metrics to inform decisions and prioritisation
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across engineering, finance, and operations
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make pragmatic decisions
- Experience working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with payment platforms such as Stripe, Adyen, or Airwallex
- Familiarity with accounting systems like Xero
- Exposure to global payments, tax handling, or multi-currency systems
- Experience working on revenue optimisation or pricing-related products
